“I think I’ve found what works for me. I tried doing things the way other people do it and it never really helped me.”

South Africa’s Norris will make his second appearance in the Nedbank Golf Challenge this year.

Norris returns to “Africa’s Major” for the first time since his debut in 2022 when he finished tied 49th.

The 43-year-old has won twice on the DP World Tour, but his most prolific golf has been played on the Japan Golf Tour where he has claimed eight titles.

His most recent victory here was in June’s Hana Bank Invitational.

Since turning professional in 2002, Norris has taken his time to learn his craft and, more importantly, understand what works best for him.

“I think I’ve matured a lot over the last couple of years and have started understanding myself and my own abilities a lot more. As a result of that process, I’m starting to enjoy the game more, and it’s nice to see good results coming through,” he said.

Norris is one of three golfing brothers – Alain and Kyle being the other two in the family. His brother Kyle is his regular caddie on tour.

Norris was a top South African amateur and a member of the country’s 2002 Eisenhower Trophy team alongside Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel.
