Nicolai Højgaard

Represented Europe in The 2018 Junior Ryder Cup alongside his brother Rasmus. The twins also helped Denmark to victory in the 2018 Eisenhower Trophy, alongside John Axelsen. Won the European Amateur at Royal Hague that same year, finishing one stroke ahead of a chasing pack which included Viktor Hovland. Contributed to an historic double on the DP World Tour as he won his first title at the 2021 DS Automobiles Italian Open, the week after his identical twin brother Rasmus was victorious the Omega European Masters. The Højgaards became the first brothers to win in back-to-back weeks on Tour. A strong finish to the 2021 season, runner-up at the Portugal Masters and T4 at the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai, saw him finish eighth on the Race to Dubai after just his second full season on Tour. Won his second DP World Tour title at the 2022 Ras Al Khaimah Championship presented by Phoenix Capital. Received a Captain’s Pick for Luke Donald’s 2023 European Ryder Cup side, making his debut in the biennial contest at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, helping Europe regain the Ryder Cup.
