Won for a sixth time on the European Tour when he claimed the 2018 NBO Oman Open. Has triumphed on two separate occasions at the KLM Open, making him the first Dutch player to win his national Open twice since it joined the European Tour in 1972. Notched two wins in the 2013 season en route to a career-best 11th place finish in the Race to Dubai Rankings presented by Rolex. Earned rave reviews during his rookie professional season which included two victories on the Challenge Tour in his first six events in 2007. Started golf as a nine year old when his uncle took him to a driving range in Rotterdam.
